ABSTRACT

El virus de la enfermedad viruela símica es poco frecuente, cuyo primer caso se detectó en un niño africano en 1970. Animales que viven en las zonas de la selva de África central y occidental resultan sus portadores naturales. Actualmente, los sistemas de salud de diversos países reportan nuevos casos a nivel mundial, levantando alarmas entre diversos organismos y en la población en general.


The monkeypox disease virus is rare, the first case of it was detected in an African child in 1970. Animals living in the jungle areas of central and western Africa are its natural carriers. Currently, the health systems of various countries report new cases worldwide, raising alarms among various organizations and in the general population.
